Board of Directors Meeting Minutes
Monday, March 17, 2008

Attending via iChat: Board Members Tom Auciello, Bill Campbell, Mike Grueter, Dick Harrell, and Wil Nelson.

The meeting was called to order at 8pm.

  1. Treasurer's report - $1,246 in bank (after subtracting April rent to pay on time 4/1).
  2. The Board decided to advertise on Craig's List and through dBug's mailing list and ExChange for a co-lease tenant Monday through Friday for the Resource Center. We settled on $700 for the monthly rent, and agreed on text for the advertisement. Mike Grueter will post the message on the ExChange and Craig's List and send the message to Sandro for e-mail list distribution.
  3. Mike Grueter will repurpose the Portage Bay sub-lease agreement for any potential new tenants.
  4. Wil Nelson will sell dBug's external iSight video camera on Craig's List trying for $200. He will also try to sell two copies of Office 2004 Standard for $175 each.
  5. Mike Grueter will e-mail and call Sandro Menzel again and attempt to get an export of the dBug-Announce mailing list subscribers for backup purposes.
  6. Our K7 InfoLine phone number was lost due to inactivity. Mike Grueter will create a new phone number and account and Wil Nelson will manage it.
  7. Bill Campbell offered to be dBug's primary or secondary DNS service should we need it.
  8. New Business
    1. Upcoming Main Meetings
      1. April - Bento
      2. Other ideas - Parallels, VMWare, Photoshop Elements 6, Guitar Hero III, Eye-Fi card, Dictate from MacSpeech, VectorDesigner from TweakerSoft, Xfig
    2. Bruce Robertson would like to send out membership renewals as postcards instead of 1st class envelopes.
    3. Classes: Genealogy April 19th, Wil Nelson Intro to Mac $35 May, iPhoto w/Dona and Jim?
    4. Main Meeting Raffles: The Board decided to allow people to choose raffle items in two categories regular and grand prize, instead of handing them out randomly.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:15pm.
