Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

Wednesday, February 5, 2004

Present: Don Arbow, Jim Damico, Mike Grueter, Dick Carter, Dona McAdam, Julie Gaskill and Nancy Siburg.

The meeting commenced around 7:30pm after attendees had eaten.

The Main Meeting on February 12th at the Seattle Times Building was the main topic.

1. Don will contact Glenn Fleishman regarding:
    - Will there be internet access? If so, will there be wireless access points? If not, can we bring our AirPort base station?
    - May we bring food to the event?

2. Main Meeting advertising:
    - Mike will format an e-mail for Sandro to send out to the dBug members.
    - Mike will send notifications to several Mac-oriented web sites.

3. CDs - Mike will work with Dona and Kelly to have new membership CDs ready for the main meeting.

4. Assuming we can serve food, it was decided to buy roll-up sandwiches, a veggie platter, a fruit platter, cheese platter and crackers. We will also have the usual drinks and snack items available for purchase.
    - Nancy offered to get the food and supplies needed from Costco for the Main Meeting.

The two fireproof file cabinets were purchased. Upon inspection, one cannot be opened and will be replaced. The second cabinet has a hole in the outer covering, which appears to be cosmetic. It was determined it would not compromise the fireproofing of the cabinets.

Jay has agreed to provide instruction on maintaining the ExChange for those that would like to train for dBug sysops duties.

Dona asked that dBug purchase Photoshop 7 for the RC iMac. It was decided that she could install her own copy of Photoshop in the Applications folder of her account without breaking any copyright rules.
